Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.- Luke 22:42
The will of God is not a divine scheme to subject your life to horror, terror and rigor of pain and discomfort. It is not intended to restrict you from enjoying unrestrained liberty. To some people, the will of God is misconstrued as God’s attempt to subject them to poverty before they are allowed to have a taste of prosperity. God’s will are divine programmes written to make your life to become a masterpiece of excellence. It is the ultimate plan of God for your life, which is divinely endorsed with unlimited guarantee of fulfilment and accomplishment if you partner with God. Therefore, you can’t afford to live a life that is secondary to the will of God.
The will of God are spiritual codes which when discovered and followed, leads to a life of colour, beauty and dignity. The will of God may not necessarily appear as appealing, but down the road, it guarantees a life of peace, prosperity and pleasure. Jesus couldn’t have forfeited the life which the Lord God had pre-ordained for Him to live. The will of God was for Him to become the Gateway to eternal life, through faith in His name. Jesus knew that God had made ready for Him the kind of joy, which the treasures of the world could not buy. It is the joy of accomplishment of God’s mandate for which He was required to die for humanity.
Instead of reaping the harvest of unlimited joy and abounding with peace, some prefer to settle for the choice that depletes their happiness as the day goes by. Therefore, the way to experience overflowing peace of mind is to submit your preferences to the will of God. Inasmuch as you believe that God knows and see the future while in the present, His will for your life will not rob you of the glory ahead but will rather make you radiate with joy unspeakable. May your joy overflow as you yield to God’s will even when it seems difficult in Jesus name. Happy April 2016
