Remember not the former things; neither consider the things of old, for I will do a new thing - Isaiah 43:18-19
Your ability to move away from your past determines your readiness for a new phase of life. People who are unwilling to get over their past glory are likely to assume that they are already operating at the high point of their lives. While those who keep recycling yesterday's failure, disappointments or setbacks in their hearts would most likely allow it to get in the way of God's move for their lives. If caution is thrown to the wind, they may get to the point of expressing disregard for God's commands when He says, " Arise and shine". However, regardless of where you are today, the word of the Lord to you is: "Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old, for I will do a new thing." Hence, get off the disappointment, worries, glories or the success you notched up yesterday, because God is working full steam ahead to give you a new beginning. Thrust aside everything weighing on your mind. God would certainly turn it around for your good. Until you act accordingly, you might just be unprepared to sign up for a new beginning.
Also, in readiness to sign up for a new beginning, you need to begin focusing on Jesus while refusing to put stock in your present circumstance. The Bible says that, "They looked unto Him and they were lightened and their faces were not ashamed." In Acts chapter 3, when the lame man at the beautiful gate began to focus on Peter and John and not on the alms he could get from them, his action gave evidence of his readiness for a new beginning of perfect health. Hence, don't funnel your attention on that emotion-draining situation. Rather keep your eyes on the Lord, as you earnestly expect His move to turn your life around. Then if all you can see is Jesus, your visibility into your heavenly heritage would certainly not be impaired.
Finally, those who desire to sign up for a new beginning don't fill up their new page with complaints. Today, God is giving you a new page, a new chapter and a blank cheque. Fill it up with your expectations and seal it up with praises. As heaven processes your request, it will come with a note saying "Well done for your subscription. You are now off to a fresh start of pleasant surprises". Even if you can't see it in a split second, believe it's done. Because many don't know how to subscribe for a new beginning, they besiege God with complaints. No wonder they don't get blessed. They are probably oblivious that the most important terms and conditions they need to satisfy if they want to subscribe for a new beginning is obedience, faith in God to grant their expectations coupled with praises and not complaints. Henceforth, let your request be made know unto God with thanksgiving and thanks-living and God will certainly fill your empty tank with blessings, favour and give you a new beginning of pleasant surprises. May this be your portion in Jesus name.
