… However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? – Luke 18:8
It is mind-boggling to see many Christians shuttling between the blessed Christian life and the inordinate fun-fare which the world offers. They fail to acknowledge that once they become Christians, it behooves them to be Christ-like and to be found as true Ambassadors of Christ. If the nature of Christ is not replicated in you in the fruit of the Spirit and in the attributes of holiness and peace towards God and man, then there is a question mark on your membership of God’s kingdom.
The kingdom of God does not make allowance for shuttling between the old and the new life. Once you are certified a child of God by divine recognition of your new identity, you must dissociate yourself from the world. Bear in mind that you cannot serve God and mammon. You are a either a soldier of Christ or a slave to the pleasure of the world. Before and since inception of the world, light and darkness has no common factor. If you don’t dissociate yourself from worldly entertainment, fashion and lustful passion, which don’t add up in the sight of God, you will be derecognized from being counted as a faithful child of God.
Once a child of God allows the devil to sway him or her from the highway of holiness, such one loses the privilege of meeting with the Chief Bridegroom, Jesus, when He shall come with trumpet sound. Has your status changed from being a faithful child to a prodigal child or illegitimate child in the sight of God? Will God find you worthy as a bride to be wedded to at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? Know that anyone who is a bride of God becomes the pride and joy of the Lord. If you are not a faithful bride of God, I beseech you to repent and cleave to the Lord, without looking back to seek the affections of the world. May the Lord find you worthy as a royal and faithful bride when He shall come with trumpet sound in Jesus name.
