God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor 5:21
Jesus had no affinity with sin because He was not conceived in iniquity. When the devil put Jesus to the test, he found nothing untoward about His royalty, divinity and personality. Jesus had undefiled royalty because He has dominion over sin. He had undefiled divinity because He is the Son of God with a more excellent name; and He had an undefiled personality, because He didn't gratify the flesh as the Son of Man. The devil wasn't able to trump up charges against Jesus because He didn't live up to the expectation of the devil to gratify the flesh when He was tempted. And because it takes the just to die for the unjust and not the other way round, Jesus was the perfect fit to bridge the gap between God and man, which was created by sin.
Being the sinless Christ, when He voluntarily took upon Himself the sins of sinners, He suffered the CONSEQUENCE OF SEPARATION FROM GOD WHILE ON THE CROSS. However, His mission was to bridge the separation between God and man and to provide man with the platform to forge a close bond with God. However, if God's kingdom and its righteousness isn't top of mind in your life, you would be giving the devil the free hand to put a tight leash on your liberty and to rule out God's perfect plan for your life.
By choosing to take the wrath of God for sin upon Himself, Jesus suffered the CONSEQUENCE OF BEING THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD. The Bible says that He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. However, His mission was to end the servitude and oppression of man through the operation of the devil. If you are in Christ, you have no cause to be afraid of the oppression of the devil, because the name of the Lord is a strong tower with absolute safety.
Finally, being the Sacrificial Lamb for the sins of the whole world, Jesus suffered the CONSEQUENCE OF A SHAMEFUL DEATH. The Bible says, "...who for the joy that was set before Him, He despised the shame and endured the cross..." (Heb. 12:2). Because of His obedience unto death, He was given an excellent name through which we can access God's riches and provision. Are you oppressed by the devil, pressed for daily provisions and overtaken by sinful habits? God is calling you today. Cut ties with the devil; make Jesus the sole Administrator of your life, to end every demonic oppression and obsession to ungodly fancies and your life will never remain the same again in Jesus name.
