Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” God granted him that which he requested. - 1 Chronicles 4:10
It is God's plan to bless you and make you a blessing. Anything short of this may amount to mere scraping the bottom of the barrel. Inasmuch as you have a divine identity that has not been compromised by the mouthwatering enticement of the devil, God will not offer you leftovers but would rather give you such a blessing that would give you divine leverage and prominence. Undoubtedly, with your divine identity registered and recognized in heaven, God will certainly trigger the kind of blessing that will make you break forth beyond and above limits.
Jabez wanted a blessing that is enough and to spare. His request revealed the state of his heart for great expectations and also faith in God to make him peculiar among his brethren. He probably knew that if God would blessing him indeed, people around him will be able to profit off the goodness of God in his life. If those who are destitute cannot live off the blessing of God in your life, you need to ask God to enlarge your coast and make you a channel of blessing.
Beyond living well is helping others to transition from a life of sorrow into joy and also promoting kingdom expansion through your prosperity. Had Jabez remained in a sorrowful state, the turnaround he later experienced wouldn't have rubbed off on his parents, family and friends. The God who granted the prayer of Jabez can cause a paradigm shift in your life: to halt every pattern of misfortunes in your life and cause you to overflow with His blessings. Henceforth, may your life become an eternal blessing to kingdoms, nations and peoples all over the world, as the Lord enlarges your coast in Jesus name.
