TRANSITIONING FROM AVERAGE TO LEVERAGE

I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws. - Psalm 119:99

The journey from being an average player to a player with leverage begins with a decision to CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE. It goes without saying that if you truly want to change your life, you have to begin by changing your attitude. A positive attitude is what you need in order to get off to an enviable altitude. If you want people to give you a chance to take a crack at something, you need an I-can-do-it attitude. It's also noteworthy that aptitude without a good attitude would undermine your ability to reach your goal. One of the reasons why some people are stuck in average performance cannot be divorced from the that fact that are caught up with an attitude that does not spark off the drive to grow and move up in the world. If you fall under this category, it will, of course, do you a heap of good to get unstuck from such attitude and begin to exhibit positive attitude.

It's also noteworthy that making a COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE would enable you to build a track record of exceptional performance. You would be hurting your chances of success and the odds of rising through the ranks if you have a reputation for performances that do not make the grade. According to John Maxwell, "People don't pay for average". They rather do for the leverage that gives you a leg up in your profession, vocation or career. This connects to the point that you can't be found lining your pockets if your work output is not likeable. Hence, you cannot downplay the need to go the extra mile if you want to be characterized as someone who has a reputation for excellence.

The Psalmist said, "I have more understanding than my teachers, because thy testimonies are my meditations" (Ps. 119:99). This status was attained because the Psalmist was COMMITTED TO LEARNING, which gave him the leg up in the knowledge of the ways of God. One of the reasons why some Christians are victims of deception and heresies is because they haven't developed an incurable appetite for the word of God. So, if half of your time is gobbled up by merriments, especially day in day out, it would be near impossible to harvest the dividend of hard work and diligence, which accompany people who are learning machines. If you are not growing your knowledge base, you would most likely undermine your ability to dial up your earning ability. Henceforth, as you get poised to exhibit a positive attitude and commitment to excellence, may your efforts come to fruition in Jesus name.
