As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them.”Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. - Acts 13:1-2 Beginning a journey without charting the right course leaves the door open for you to be misled or misdirected from the destination you desire. Having a desire without blocking out the game plan to actualise it can lead you to nursing a pipe dream. Real dreamers don't just dream; in addition to dreaming big, they are also possessed with the driving force to live up to their dreams In Acts 13, before Paul and Silas hit the ground running to fulfil their missionary assignment, they ministered to the Lord. Hence you need to engage God to call the shots as you journey through the year. This does not devolve you of the responsibility to carry your own weight. As someone who wants to make the impact that matters, you need to poise yourself for hard work to achieve exploit. While you set your best foot forward, don't allow the failure of yesterday to pull the plug on your vim and vigour for the task ahead of you. Get into your stride for maximum impact. Regardless of what you might be going through, God has pulled you through to see the new year. Hence, you need to look on the bright side of your challenge and reap in the harvest God promised you for the new year. As this year slide by, may you be pegged as a living testimony of the goodness of God in Jesus name. Happy new year
