"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. - Phil 4:8
Having being created in the image of God, you shouldn't allow your imagination to be out of harmony with God's plan and purpose for your life. God expects you to mirror your life through the lens of His perception about your future. Hence, any disposition that represents a converse of His thoughts for your life will certainly cram self-pity, low self-esteem and depression into your imagination. This has the prospect of making you to see yourself as a small fry and not as an enabled giant with the potential to make laudable impact on the sands of time. Hence, it's worthy of note that if you want to fulfil God's plan for your life, you need to feed your imagination with PURPOSE-DRIVEN INFORMATION that would inspire you with the passion to pursue God's plan for your life.
It is important to note that one of the reasons why a believer may be wrapped up in doubt and discouragement may be attributable to his failure to feed his imagination with the promises of God. It bears mentioning that if you don't feed your imagination with the PROMISES OF GOD and count on His faithfulness, you would most likely allow the devil to stuff your mind with falsehood. Abraham didn't allow the devil to make him trade off his faith for the falsehood of barrenness because he kept on feeding his imagination with the promises of God. The Scripture says that he grew in faith so much that he was persuaded that God would keep faith with him and honour His word. Are you feeding your imagination with falsehood and lies of the devil, which is stirring you towards trading off your dignity and royalty for acts of iniquity? Why not reason with God today, and let Him influence your thinking; and spur you to take actions that would not endanger your tomorrow.
Finally, it cannot be overemphasized that one of the reasons why unsuccessful people don't come anywhere near their goals is because they fail to feed their imagination with the PROSPECTS OF SUCCESS. You cannot emerge a success if you make a practice of feeding your imagination with the thoughts of failure. According to Mark Twain, "You cannot rely on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus." Allowing the thoughts of failure to linger in your mind could amount to idleness and shiftlessness that would lead up to loss of opportunities and settlement for an average life. It is often said that, "The only way not to make mistakes is to avoid trying to do anything." Rather than allowing negative thinking to keep you on the sidelines, feed your imagination with a can-do attitude, which would propel you into setting your best foot forward towards actualising your dreams. If you don't want fear, doubt and indecision to take the better of you, then feed your imagination with positive expectations, prospect of success, positive and purpose-driven information and high hopes of a bright tomorrow.
