The journey to making impact requires that you make valuable contributions and not to sit idly to consume everything thrown at you. If you are to distinguish yourself, you need to fit yourself up with everything that would boost your capability to contribute. Those who hold their breath anticipating what the government or society would do to help their status, may wait till kingdom come. It bears mentioning that one of reasons why some people take a backseat while they watch others make showstopping impact is that they are apathetic about taking baby steps. They despise the days of small beginning and wouldn't try their hands to undertake even the smallest task. They would rather relish the pleasure of being a consumer. However, to fit yourself up as a contributor, you would be required to make the most of your talent. Is your talent gathering dust? Know that God has not created you as a waste of space. So don't allow your God-given talent to waste away. Appropriate it meticulously and you would see that you would measure up as a contributor in the scheme of things.

Also, if you would pass as a valuable contributor, you need a can-do attitude. A converse of this could upset the achievement of personal, corporate or team objectives and goals. Ten out of the twelve Israelites sent to spy the land of the Anakims returned with alarming and disheartening report about the land. Their report lowered the hope of the Israelites to possess the land. On the flip side, Joshua and Caleb had a different and positive perspective. They dialed up the confidence level of the Israelites. They kept the Lord God in the puzzle, since they understand that their muscle wouldn't fetch the Israelites the victory they desire (Numbers 13 & 14). It therefore goes without saying that exhuming an optimistic spirit can work wonders with a team's preparedness to rise against all odds, towards the achievement of a goal. This highlights why you shouldn't be the weakest line in the chain. Hence, bring positive energy to the table, which would help to consolidate the drive to reach a desired goal.

It isn't commonplace for unsuccessful people to think solution and innovative ways of achieving a goal. Whilst they are capable of engaging in creative thinking , they allow this capability to slide. The converse of this marks the difference in the approach and disposition of successful people. It goes without saying that failing to engage in creative thinking wouldn't serve you well to pass a valuable contributor. You need to understand that you were created by a creative God with a creative ability. Abraham Lincoln observed, “When I’m getting ready to reason with a man, I spend one-third of my time thinking about myself and what I am going to say —and two-thirds thinking about him and
what he is going to say.” However, what you feed your mind with will, of course, affect your thought process, your expressions, response and reactions to situations. What are you stuffing your mind with? Is it helping you to shape your thinking, to pass as a valuable contributor? Henceforth, gear up to be a contributor, while leveraging the power of your thought and wealth of talents.
