“…see that no one falls back from and fails to secure Gods grace in order that no root of bitterness shoots forth and causes trouble...” Heb. 12:15
Building a healthy relationship is not accomplishable on the foundation of bitterness. The crack in the foundation of many relationships is attributable to unforgiving spirit, bitterness and expression of hot displeasure either for the progress being made by others or for their erroneous deeds.
You run the risk of losing healthy network of relationship if you are aggressive and irrational in your judgment. A wild expression of aggregation for the errors of others can lock you up in heated arguments, cause your blood to boil and make you lose your dignity. Cain was not able to rationalise his murder of Abel, his brother, because he acted on the impulse of bitterness for the divine acceptance of Abel’s offering.
For peace to thrive in your relationship and neighbourhood, be ready and willing to forgive and mend fences. Chiefly, if you will allow the Spirit of God to inspire your heart, the devil’s pills of bitterness will not find settlement in your heart. I pray the Spirit of God overwhelm you with peace, joy and power to pull out every root of bitterness that may be lodging in your heart in Jesus name.
