Love bears up under anything and everything that comes.. 1 Cor 13:7
Christ chose to subject Himself to the suffering of the Cross while He had the power to subject and reduce His captors to nothing. The love He had for humanity restrained Him, made Him to take the fall and bring redemption to mankind. It was love that made Him die on the Cross. In the spirit of love, He endured the shame of crucifixion. Hence, the love of God gives a believer the enabling power and grace to endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ without compromise.
A proof of the depth of your love for God is measured by your ability to stick with God in the day of adversity when you are enticed with the offer of inordinate pleasure. If you allow affliction to separate you from the love of God, it's an indication that you are not deeply rooted in the love of Christ. True love endures all things. It has the staying power to stand the test of affliction. Love doesn't compromise or bow to the enticement of pleasure in the time of temporal affliction.
Love is a supernatural force that keeps you standing on Christ, the Rock, when the whirlwind of affliction tries to blow you off the Way. Because love is a motivating spirit, it makes you to stand firm in Christ against all odds that is schemed by the devil to pull you down. And also keeps you moving and abounding in your walk with God. As you allow the love of God to flood your heart, may you remain inseparable from God and unmovable when your faith is being tested in Jesus name.
