KEEPING YOUR ANGER IN CHECK

When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. -  Eph. 4:26 People that have low boiling point are not capable of building a lasting relationship. They allow the spirit of anger to stand in their way while they sabotage their effort to actualize their goals. Every man created by God has the ability to express anger. However, when it turns up that you are not able to hold yourself in check, your anger could become a display of foolishness and would certainly give you the passport to displease God. God does not approve of a man who is under the influence of the spirit of anger, because the Scripture affirms that anger resides in the bosom of fools. You shouldn’t allow your anger to develop the wings that will make you flame with bitterness and destructive inclination. Anger has the capacity to make you lose your reason. It is an emotional force that shuts your ears from listening to reason. Every suggestion and advice offered to a person that is overwhelmed by anger often goes to waste, because his mind is not settled to process the information and draw the winning wisdom to keep the situation under control. When a man’s feelings begin to run high, his body chemistry reacts in the same proportion. This leads to the distortion of the default state of his mind, which could lead to execution of unwise judgment, decisions and actions. Regardless of what or who might be getting under your skin, you should endeavor to keep your anger in check. You can decide to be proactive by maintaining a default state of mind that will enable you react positively to every attack to unsettle your mind. Instead of being reactive when someone tries your patience, you could choose to exercise the patience of a saint and allow the matter to die a natural death. If you run out of patience with people every now and then, you will soon run of people who could have helped you to actualize your goals. Therefore, keep your anger in check. When you do this, you will not have to wreck your effort to build and keep the right network of people that will close ranks with you to fulfill your purpose in life. May the Lord give you the spirit of patience to keep your anger in check even when your enemies expect you to lose your peace and joy in Jesus name
