A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - Prov. 18:24
No one succeeds in isolation. Working in sync with others gives you a better chance of succeeding without having to spread yourself too thin. It's usually a heavy going attempting to take care of enormous task that require helping hands. Regardless of your ability to give evidence of sound judgement and intellectual capacity, you need people to get ahead and gain ground in turning in a productive work output. Hence, you need to recognize people as assets to help you reach your success destination without being bogged with details.
In building a good working relationship, you need to RESPECT people. Holding people in high regard stimulates their interest in helping you to succeed. When you respect people, they will be willing to close ranks with you to help you achieve your goal. You also need to be RESPONSIVE to the need and challenges of others. You don't want to keep to yourself and appear to be self centered, without identifying with people when they are grappling with challenges beyond their control.
People who build good working relationship REMOVE relationship obstacles such as being high-minded, overbearing and being on a power trip but rather key a low profile to stimulate team spirit. They don't allow their position or achievements to widen the gap between them and their colleagues. They get rid of the obstacles of pride in order to get along with others and pull together as a team. Are you struggling with building a good working relationship with your colleagues? You might have to make a paradigm shift to respect people, respond to their needs and remove anything that may stand in the way of building and keeping a good working relationship with your colleagues.
