"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:5
It's often said that when the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable. To top it off, a waste of time and destiny is likewise inevitable when purpose is oblivious to the eyes, thoughts and imaginations of a people. No one can live in stardom if he is trapped in obscurity. But the moment your purpose for living is brought to light, you would have cause to reserve your might for the pursuit of God's plan for your life. More so, you would save yourself from being caught up in pursuits that are out of line with God's mandate for your life. In Jeremiah 1:4-5, the knowledge of purpose helped Prophet Jeremiah to funnel his might towards God's mandate for his life. Everything he might have attempted outside of God's purpose for his life would have thrust his life into misery and frustration.
While some people prefer to sidestep the purpose of God for their lives, some allow others to talk them out of God's purpose. Consequently, they give chase to pursuits and choices that leave them twisting in the wind. The pursuit of anything God wouldn't endorse or a choice for which you attempted to coax God into endorsing is a recipe for frustration and could cause lead up to recycling regrets in your mind. That's why you cannot downplay the import of the knowledge of God's purpose for your life. When it registers with you that the ignorance or resistance of purpose is no bliss, you would be willing take account of every wise and godly counsels at your finger tips.
If you haven't given adequate thought to discerning God's counsel for your life, be it in your career, profession, relationship or ministry, seek and follow God's lead for your life now. While it is not contestable that your purpose may potentially lie in your passion, it wouldn't be out of place to keep God in the loop and allow Him take the wheel. This would certainly help you to get off to a good start and remain strident in the face of oppositions. And with God in your boat, you have no cause to fish in troubled waters. Be assured that He will teach and instruct you in the way that leads to fulfilment, peace and joy. May the Lord open the eyes of your heart, to keep you from deceit, distraction and every bum steer, which spells disaster, in your quest to give chase to God's purpose for your life, in Jesus name.
