"So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. – Acts 26:19
Vision provides you with the whys and wherefores for working full steam ahead to reach your desired destination. The absence of vision gives a people the reason to live as common men. Hence, a leader who lacks vision does not possess the momentum to live out of the ordinary. As the day slides by, his destiny slides along. Down the road, he has nothing exciting to relay to the next generation. But a leader with a propelling vision poises himself for great accomplishment.
In Acts 26, Apostle Paul relayed the vision that got him constantly on the move to King Agrippa. In spite of being bound with chains, as part of the devil’s move to drive him into despair, Apostle Paul got stuck in explaining and pursuing God’s vision for his life with great joy. The assurance of harvest down the road, for his faithfulness in fulfilling his vision got him rejoicing and not complaining about false allegation levied against him.
Besides communicating his vision, Apostle Paul modelled God’s vision for his life. He lived up to expectations. He didn’t sign off after taking the first step. He kept on gaining ground until the time was ripe for his departure. This makes it understandable that good leaders go out of their way to get to the finishing line. Are you fired up with a great vision? Keep plugging away at it with the grace which God provides and you will end well with joy of accomplishment in Jesus name.
