Joseph nourished his father, his brothers, and all of his father’s household, with bread, according to their families. - Genesis 47:12
No one becomes a lifetime champion by making others to stumble. Those who upturn the plan and dreams of others are greasing the skids for their day of doom. When you put a barrier in the way of others to succeed, you are preparing the ground of your downfall. Because it backfires down the road. But when you help others to advance a worthy and desirable cause, you become a contributor to their success story
One of the keys to success is to help others find reason to push ahead when the odds are against them. Joseph could have revenged the wickedness of his brothers when they were hard up during the lean times across the world. He didn't allow bitterness to drain his milk of human kindness. He rather went overboard and gave them a red carpet treatment, to their amazement, when he made them to dine in the presidential villa.
On the flip side, the account of Cain exemplified a brother who allowed bitterness and envy to put a strain on his relationship with his brother, Abel. His failure to be his brother's keeper shut him out in obscurity. God became furious with him because he kissed off a faithful friend of His. This goes to reveal that it is unrewarding to become a stumbling block to the advancement of others. Rather choose to be a pillar of support. May you enjoy the backing of God as you help others to make progress towards fulfilling their desired goal in Jesus name.
