"The man (Isaac) grew great, and grew more and more until he became very great - Genesis 26:13
Every accomplishment that go down in history begins with a step, often with the best foot forward. It also bears mentioning that successful people understand that they must keep moving forward, though slowly but surely towards the goal they have in sights. People who sign up for the journey towards success stop at nothing. They allow nothing to make them fall short of their goals. As they run through the pathway of success, they keep gathering pace to help them finish strong. Therefore, if you want to emerge in the league of champions, you need to take a leap out of indecision, discouragement and out of every underminer of your goals.
Having taken the first step, don't hang up on taking the next step to accomplish your goal. Those who get stuck in the first lap of the race while being overwhelmed with the joy and taste of progress may dispense with taking the next step. If you fail to get over yesterday's success, you would be wrapped up in the thinking that you have arrived when you should be striving forward towards the next level. Therefore, instead of settling in your comfort zone, keep gathering momentum to close in on your goals.
While the road to the next level may be fraught with challenges, you shouldn't allow it to douse your momentum. Hence, you need to give evidence of your commitment to keep striving ahead and not to stray away from the pursuit of your goal. When you are up against challenges, stepping up to the plate might become your stepping stone to stardom. When David stepped up to the plate to proceed against Goliath, he never knew he was closing in on becoming a national champion in Israel. His episode of conquest over the lion and the bear, through God's grace at work in him, stirred him up with an assurance of victory. Therefore, as you keep gathering pace without dropping the ball, be assured that your taste of success is unnegotiable, with God as your ultimate back up.
